The film follows a brother's and sister's struggles as they leave their Guatemalan village for what they hope is a better life in "El norte." A powerful film. El Norte is a moving and enjoyable film. The edited version is particularly impressive.

Whoever edited the \"for the classroom\" version really did an outstanding job and deserves credit for a job very well done!
